Peace talks are now focused on the Strait of Hormuz

“A warning from former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has raised fears in Gulf states that reopening the Strait of Hormuz may be the best that talks between Iran and the US can achieve and that it falls short of the broader de-escalation they believe is vital.” Reuters Reports.

“Officials and analysts expect the next round of negotiations coming up in Islamabad will increasingly focus not on Iran’s missiles or regional proxies, but on the limits of uranium enrichment and how to deal with Iran’s influence over the Strait, the world’s most critical oil transport route.”
