RCB vs GT, IPL 2026: Where does Virat Kohli rank in the Orange Cap list?

With a tight 206 to chase and the former Royal Challengers captain having a new opening partner in Jacob Bethell, he was given an early reprieve. Washington Sundar shockingly dropped the right-handed batsman when he was just 0 off his first delivery and he made the Titans pay by hitting two boundaries in the following over. While Bethell went down with a 10-ball 14, Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal kept the scoreboard ticking. In the seventh over, the star batter hit his 300th six and completed his half-century in just 30 deliveries.

In Jason Holder’s 14th over, Kohli hit back-to-back sixes as the right-hander looked to be on his way to a ton. However, the West Indian had him chopped off the very next ball and lost 81. The veteran screamed to himself for throwing away his wicket but has reclaimed the Orange Cap from SunRisers Hyderabad’s Abhishek Sharma with 328 runs under his belt.

The Royal Challengers came back strongly from the death to secure an achievable score of 206. The reigning champions have now moved up to second place.
