Updated points table, top run getters and wicket takers after game 35 – LQ vs KRK

Karachi Kings stunned reigning champions Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 match at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on April 23, Thursday. By winning their game, the Karachi Kings not only stayed alive alongside the Quetta Gladiators but also sent themselves into the playoffs over the Multan Sultans.

Fakhar Zaman continued his excellent run with the bat at the top, hitting a 41-ball 61 while Abdullah Shafique also scored a 36-ball 62. While players like Sikandar Raza, Daniel Sams and Shaheen Shah Afridi put in crucial performances, they seemed to have lost some momentum towards the end. From 148/2 after 15.2 overs, the Qalandars could only manage 199/6 as they seemed to be hoping for more. Karachi Kings captain David Warner posted a measured score of 63 at the top but was down to 34 in the last three overs. Khushdil Shah stunned opposition captain Shaheen Shah Afridi by bowling him for 23 runs in the 18th over and ended the game in the next with consecutive sixes off Haris Rauf’s bowling to remain unbeaten by 44 runs.

With only two more playoff spots left up for grabs, four teams in Hyderabad Kingsmen, Islamabad United, Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars are vying for it.
